Maturity of towns' Web sites in Croatia according to the evolutionary e-Government Maturity Model

The development of e-Government at the local level is becoming the subject of interest of many researchers. The prevailing opinion is that eGovernment is developing as an evolutionary model and while evaluating the status and maturity of the eGovernment the e-Government Maturity Model (eGMM) is in use. During 2009, a survey of maturity of the towns' Web sites in Croatia was conducted. According to the evaluation results the local egovernment and the e-services are in the first stage in the majority of towns in Croatia. Analysis confirmed a positive correlation between the town size and the maturity of Web sites as well as between the town budget and the maturity of Web sites .
